It's another gripping book from Arthur's writing desk, a narrative of two opportunistic men brought up in contrasting situations. But no matter what comes their way, these two will find a way out of whatever impediments come their way. And they don't mind twisting the law to any extent without breaking the letter of the law. Both men successfully consolidate their targets until fate bring the two of them face-to-face. Business rivalry becomes as good as a personal one. Both the street-smart men slog it out in a messy battle.
I would recommend this book as a must read for those who track entrepreneurs. This work of fiction pretty much shows the extent of guts and gumption people of this creed got in them. It does give an exaggerated feel at times, but then, how real can you expect a fiction to be?
But Archer is class in the flow of his presentation, a flawless development of the characters and story, as is a hallmark of his works, and a deserved best-seller none-the-less.
