The God of runs & memorable victories

Normally God(s) receive(s) prayers from his(their) faithfuls. Here is one God who is a recipient of a billion or more prayers when he is called into action. The number 10 jersey wielder of the Indian Cricket team, Sachin Tendulkar is thy name.

"i will see GOD when i die.... till then ill see Sachin....." writes my friend Avya Bansal, reflecting the sentiments of Sachin loyalists all around the world. The batting maestro completed 20 years of cricket and still looks strong to add another 2 years.

Why this man stands out? is finely covered by Virender Sehwag in this article in cricinfo.com - http://www.cricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/434385.html

He'z withstood tennis elbow, back pains, numerous injuries, grinding schedules and the worst of all the most cruelest of criticisms during his lean patches. But he smashed 'em all away with his wide bat, standing on top of the many legends & champions.

And if anyone had doubts that he was loosing fuel, his blistering 179 vs Australia was a motley of his 20 years.

How we only wish he plays on to puncture the quadruple century bubble someday!
