Tis my last day in first class,
as my pass has come to pass,
the morrow will i be part of the mass,
and travel like a unpaid ass.
With chin up head cocked up high,
the first day i felt like a knight,
resting the aching body on a rare WR seat,
Sat like a king who just bagged a feat!
With a grin n a raised brow,
upon the II class i would frown,
n then breath out n air of gratitude,
for moving on to a different latitude.
No more sweat! Never again will i fret,
as the train journey will now always be fine,
but those dreams are bust, travel by II class I must,
and all i can do is whine.
I swear by the Gods, I will return to the mecca of WR seats,
as I shun to think of being II class meat,
for now i roll my eyes n sigh,
n wish the oasis of Ist Class Good- bye!

Wassup in Sanskrit!
And a funny thing happened other day in the train.
A eunuch came and begged in english. I was in my formals and texting at the same time. So I guess she rightly deduced m more of the English speaking types. So she went like - "Give me 1 Re, give me 2 Rs. , 3 Rs, 4 Rs, 5 Rs." I smiled, shook my head to indicate no. Then she said " Okay, Kush rehna beta" So I thought wow, even Eunuchs now going all English.
And not 5 minutes after that -
He had a whole conversation for ten minutes. I was zapped.
His name is C.S. Ganapathy, a doctor on the medical staff of Reliance Industries. He didn't know a word of Sanskrit, but he attended a 10 day course conducted by Samskrita Bharati, a movement with a mission to convert people into conversing in Sanskrit.
They wont teach you about writing and stuff. Just normal conversation.
How cool is that? We learn Spanish, French - But how about you wanna badly share something with ur friend in front of others, nd u say it all in sanskrit - and ur friend grins & says something back in sanskrit. All this in just 10 days. I was surprised, cos otherwise to learn proper sanskrit u need to dedicate 12 years.
Anyone interested google it out. Or I have this Dr. Ganapathy's card.
Spooky things happen on a train.
