Talent and form-wise India still has the best potential above the rest. What's lacking was the team combination flow. it's like USA has the best Basketball league, the NBA- but the US team not got much silverware.
India should probably have had a tour before the event rather than the IPL. The coaches n players from the other teams had them sorted out in the IPL.
Besides Dhoni had a problem of plenty and the warm-up matches weren't good enough to get that killer combination in the playing XI, even though all 15 of them can rock on their day.
Besides the Captain Cool Dhoni, wasn't his usual calm during the matches. Which reflected on the players as well.
Sehwag was sorely missed.
So let's focus on our next mission- Exacting revenge from the Devils of the Caribbeans! (ODI series)
Quote of the week courtesy cricinfo.com-
" It's interesting to see each other's balls. Mine's, one side is a little bit rougher than Ben Hilfenhaus."
(Mitchell Johnson explains that Australia's bowlers have practiced different methods of shining the Duke balls used in England)
