India to get a green GDP n more..

India is expected to begin the greening of its national income accounting starting next year, making depletion in natural resources wealth a key component of Gross Domestic Product(GDP).{Source ET- 11/06/09}

A new fancy being picked up around the world, it's a gr8 initiative. At least then we'll be forced to be a little more environmental conscious. But then a country like China couldn't get through with it. It went on for a couple of years and surprisingly their government department squabbled over it, resulting in the R.I.P of the venture.

So can India really get the stats right? Can we trust our surveyors to extract the exact or approximate figures? Will the exact results bee displayed or is the govt. gonna air-brush them?

It's better to get it started than ponder on many such negatives. And lets wish good luck to this venture.

Independent Speaker

The media has called for the Speaker of Lok Sabha to resign from the Party. That is a really terrific suggestion. Bcos I would anyday stand up and applaud Somnath Chatterjee for an excellent job done as a speaker, where he even discplined his own party members despite of the assured lethal consequences.

I may not know much about Meira Kumar, but the previous Govt. flashed the 'first-time-woman' President card, and is anybody really satisfied with Mrs. Patil? Her husband gets legal immunity, she only rears her head to read prepared speeches. And compared to the standards set by Mr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who redefined the role of the President, her rule has been miserable.

She is nothing more than the NDA goverments mouthpiece. 

Question is will Meira Kumar be the same? Let's hope not. Cos if it is so, then it's better that she and her successors to the Speaker's post resign from their party.

Indians subjected to Racism

I will try n study the situation before giving my opinion on this. The incidents in Australia is more or so because of Recession. People around the world have recognised India and Indians as a rising power. But reports have come in that Lebanese students have attacked Indians in the Australia off late. 

But its natural people think of us Indians as a threat. We work hard, have a better pool of talented and brilliant students, who can be dedicated and loyal to the company, for a lower salary than most of the executives or professionals from other nations with lesser capabilities would offer. My only doubt it is, we had all a lot more of this and a lot of wealth couple of centuries back. How come we got conquered, r****d by other countries and never returned favour?

And now these nations feel threatened by just a small chink of our population settled abroad!

USA says it will not force a dialog between India and Pakistan

Thank You so much Uncle Sam!(USA) We should feel obliged to you, no? But I guess you better spend your time cleaning ur own recession rather than playing the diplomatic doodle with us. We get hit by terrorists breeded in Pakistan. We submit a whole list of proofs to you. You raise a voice condemning Pakistan for not solving its terrorist issues. And the next week itself u send billions of dollars in aid to them. Which u've been doing fo quite sometime. Mr. "Change" Obama has been changing his stance/ dialogues w.r.t Pakistan more than issues in his own nation.

Believe me, USA even had the guts to welcomed Pakistani officials in their talks by "assuring" that India does not poise a threat to them. Ha! And how many times has India attacked Pakistan?!

Thanks Uncle Sam, but we most definately know our neighbours better than you do. So better stick to your stance.
